Losing our last game to the Cowboys was tough. When our offense got up in the score, we felt like our unit could keep the momentum going. We knew if we just kept on stopping the run, we’d get the ball back on offense and we did for a short time. We weren’t able to come out and establish our style of play, which was the difference in the ballgame. Thursday’s matchup is a great opportunity to come out and get everything back on point.
This week didn’t yield great news for our defense with the injury of NaVorro during the last game. We’re hoping for a quick recovery as he is a big part of this unit. There is no such thing as replacing NaVorro Bowman, but we hope to have him back soon. The fact is we’re 1-3 and we have a big divisional game coming up, with a win we improve to 2-1 in our conference.
We’re not down, though! Our main focus this week is to make sure we address and correct the mistakes made during the last game. This unit has continued to improve each week and wants to produce wins. We still have a great chance to be where we want to be at the end of the season and we’re going to keep plugging away. Arizona has great defense that is able to shut down certain aspects of a team’s game. We need to go out there and do the same.
I’m excited for the opportunity to get out and get after it this Thursday. Each week is a blessing to be able to play the game I love. Thursday’s game against the Cardinals is going to be a clash of two highly competitive teams. We’re going for the “W” at home in front of our fans!
Hope all you are ready for this one!
